It seems to be just one of those things that nothing stays the same forever, and no matter how much effort we put into writing our excellent guides, trails are bound to change over time.

Big thanks to everyone out there who sent us their feedback on the trails around Morzine as well as the people we met out on the trails this summer (especially the Reading posse for their entertaining company both at the campsite and on route.
As we keep saying, nothing stays unchanged for long in the mountain bike world and the Portes du Soleil region, more than any other place we visited recently, is constantly changing and upgrading both its DH tracks and its marked VTT cross country trails.
There is now an extra route at Les Chavannes and a new start for the Red DH; Chatel and Les Lindarets have come out the other side of a big redevelopment with a host of new tracks, including a rather amazing looking wood course at the half way station.
The DH tracks at Champerey and Les Crossets just have to be visited, despite the inevitable braking bumps on many of the lines, they are so much fun.
On the XC routes, weve cleared up some of the vagaries in a few of the route descriptions and have regraded Kates Big Day Out which really does have a pretty extreme sting in the tail. We found that some routes which are shared by walkers, such as the Col de Coux, have been smoothed and tamed, whilst other routes, like the Mont Chery Circuit, have become a little more rooty and technical having seen more riders.
